Entertainment | My Top Ten at the Met Gala

With awards season now over, the Met Gala fills the void for best dressed lists! The trouble with the Met Gala for me is that fashion that you could consider as being 'out there' isn't really my thing so I don't often find many looks I really like at this event. However, this year's Met Gala was entirely different and I struggled to even pick a top ten!

It was the SAG Awards last night so I'm back with another best dressed list! I thought this red carpet was a bit slow to start but it did pick up around half way through. I wasn't as overwhelmed with the looks compared to the Golden Globes earlier this month but there was some really lovely looks. Here are my favourites:

Awards Season is OFFICIALLY back! I absolutely love awards season and if you have visited my blog before, you may have seen that I have covered the major awards shows before. It all really started when I was little as I used to love celeb spotting in the crowd of the British Soap Awards more than the actual show itself. I no longer watch the soaps (still do like the Soap Awards, it's a wee bit of a tradition in our house) and I'm really into my US TV and films so it's now all about the Globes and the Emmys.

I live blogged my favourite looks on the red carpet last night on Instagram but here is my full list of best dressed at the Golden Globes 2017. The fashion this time round was unreal, I sometimes struggle to pick a top 5 and this year's Globes could be a top 50!

What I Got For Christmas 2016

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope you had a fantastic time over the holidays, I'm quite gutted that it is all over now! For my first post in 2017, I am going to share some of the lovely gifts I received for Christmas. I love these type of posts and I especially love the vlog version as I have to admit I am pretty nosy. I just find it so interesting to see the different types of gifts that people receive. I haven't included absolutely everything I got for Christmas this year as it would be a pretty long post if I included all the chocolate and toiletries!

BLOGMAS 2016 DAY 3 - Black Friday & Holiday Haul

I have done FAR too much shopping recently as I was on holiday at the start of November and then Black Friday was last week of course... but in my defence a lot of it was online and will be sent back as I was struggling to find a Christmas party outfit and I just started mass ordering to find something I liked!

My Spring Fashion Essentials

For this post, I have collaborated with the clothing company Betabrand to share my fashion essentials for the temperamental weather this Spring! The weather in the UK is not the best and within the past few weeks, we've had a streak of sunny days before it totally lashed it down with rain. I have picked out 3 clothing items along with weather determined footwear that are staple parts of my wardrobe this Spring!

Just like awards season, I've compiled my favourite dresses from last week's Met Gala! There is always extravagant ones that are never just quite my thing but amongst that, there were some truly stunning dresses this year. Particular favourites of mine were the Kardashian/Jenner's, they looked so effortlessly beautiful (but is there really anything new there?)

Another stand out for me was Nina Dobrev, she looked every inch the princess in her stunning gold Marchesa gown. Here are some more of my favourite looks from the event:

My Best Dressed At The Oscars!

Well long time no blog! I can't believe it's been a month since I last posted, things can get so hectic! I have had several post ideas swirling around my mind these past weeks but ever seemed to quite manage to get the pen to paper. These will be all coming soon but today I wanted to share  my favourite looks from Sunday Night's Oscars! If you have visited my blog before, you will know how much I adore awards shows. I religiously tune into all the big ceremonies but living in the UK, the time zones make it all a bit tricky! Regardless I always keep up with the red carpet. 

I really couldn't decide an absolute favourite look of the night so I went for two! I thought Brie Larson looked gorgeous in this blue dress by Gucci. Her whole look was just effortless and pretty. I was so happy to hear that Brie had won Best Actress for her role in Room. I read the book last week and was lucky enough to also see the film in which her Oscar was well deserved for. I will have a review post up soon!

My Favourite Looks from the 73rd Annual Golden Globes!

The Golden Globes were last night and I'm back again with a fashion post this week! If you've visited my blog before, you'll know that I really love awards shows. I love celebrity spotting and seeing what everyone wears! I'm a bit annoyed with myself though as I fell asleep during the ceremony and missed most of it... It starts at 1am in the UK so it's not exactly ideal! I never watch the whole thing because it goes on until around 4am but I usually last longer than the first half hour! I live blogged my favourite looks last night over on my Instagram page but after seeing more pictures from the after party, here's my best dressed list!

My first look is Emilia Clarke in Valentino, yes it's black but it is so edgy! I rather like how it's not in your face but still very eye catching as it's classy and very modest.

I have been working on a What I Got For Christmas post for the past week now and it's not quite worked out as planned but it's coming within the next few days I promise. BLOGMAS Day 18 - Advent Tree

Just a quick update today as everything still pretty much the same as yesterday! This year, my Mum made us a lovely advent calendar by filling baubles with assorted things and hanging them on a tree. We have this tree sitting on the stairs all year round and it is decorated seasonally e.g. Easter, Halloween. Instead of hanging Christmas decorations onto it this year, it has become our Advent Calendar!

So far we have had an assortment of different chocolates and a few small jewellery pieces. In today's bauble, we got these lovely mint green bracelets! I can't wait to wear it as it even fits my (freakishly small) wrist haha!

BLOGMAS DAY 13 - Christmas Party Makeup!

Last night, I went to a Christmas Do so I thought I would share the products I used to create my makeup look! I wore this jumpsuit from Quiz with silver strap heels. I really loved wearing this as it was comfortable but yet still looked really festive and sparkly! I was also excited that it had pockets and I forgot to use them... I could of been carrying my phone around! In all honestly, I didn't mix my makeup up much from my everyday makeup look but I applied it generally a bit heavier than I'd wear normally.

Another awards show, another outfits post... If you have been with my blog for a while, you may have seen various posts I have done over the year of my favourite looks from different awards shows.  If you haven't been here before, firstly hello and basically, I just absolutely love awards shows. For me, celeb spotting on the red carpet is most definitely the best part! Here are my favourite looks from last night:

Firstly, Selena Gomez looks absolutely stunning in red! I love how elegant this look is but yet still is very glamorous. Definiely one of the best looks of the night for me.

Long time no blog! Apologies time has just ran away from me recently but I am back today with some thoughts and snaps of my Prairie Charms Pizazz Box! If you have not heard of Prairie Charms before, they are a UK company who sell a variety of different accessories such as jewellery items and things for your hair. A few months ago they very kindly invited me on Twitter to become part of their blogging team which was very exciting! NARS Blush - Orgasm

I got a discount voucher for ASOS last month so decided to have a little splurge on my second high end face product... This to me is one of those cult beauty products that you always admire from a far but never actually buy so I decided to use the voucher wisely and get this a little bit cheaper!  It is a stunning colour if it is applied lightly as I feel it gets very pink very quickly!! It lasts throughout the day and I love the subtle shimmer to it. The only thing I hate is the name, do they really need to be that rude?
