BLOGMAS DAY 6 - The Christmas Tag.

1. What is your favourite Christmas movie?

My childhood favourite is definitely Miracle On 34th Street, the one with Matilda! One of my favourites now though is Elf as it is really is very funny! I haven't watched any Christmas films so far this year but these two will definitely be at the top of my list!

2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?

Christmas Morning! If you opened them on Christmas Eve, where is the fun in Christmas? Haha! We always open our stockings first then traditionally our 'Santa' presents. We then have breakfast before opening our presents for each other from under the tree!

1. Who is your blogging inspiration?

Fleur De Force as my first look into this whole corner of the internet was her 'Whats In My Handbag' video. I enjoyed it so much that it has kinda spanned my interest in blogging and really encouraged me to pursue starting my own. I think she has such a genuine personality online and I love her content. 

2. What are your hobbies other than blogging?

I don't have hobbies as such but I like going to Yoga and Pilates classes if I can make it. I also really enjoy shopping and going to the cinema. I love going out for food too if that could be considered a hobby? #foodie

3. Dead or alive who would you love to have dinner with?

Blake Lively so I can ask all her fashion and beauty tips to understand why she is so flawless.

What has been your favourite moment in blogging so far?

Being asked to write a guest post for Scot Bloggers a few weeks ago. That was such an exciting moment for me as I felt I had really succeeded with blogging. If you would like to read it, you can find it here.

What is your favourite food?

I'm going to have to cheat as I don't have one particular favourite. I love pasta dishes, fajitas, caesar salad and Weetabix! 

What is your favourite movie?

A toss up between Mean Girls and Legally Blonde, I have loved them both for so long. There is so many quotable moments in Mean Girls and Elle Woods is such a queen. Reese Witherspoon is also my favourite actress and I think Legally Blonde is one of her best movies!

How would your ideal weekend be spent?

For an ideal weekend, the Saturday would be a days worth of shopping and going out for lunch at one of my favourite restaurants (TGIs if possible ha). Followed by a  'Lazy Sunday' as I never get them watching my favourite TV shows! 

Where would you most like to travel? 

I am desperate to go to New York. I have it all planned as to where I'd even like to visit! I would actually love to go back to America in general as I've been once and that that was 6 years ago.

What are you 3 key wardrobe must haves?

- Definitely a plain white t-shirts as I love wearing them with jeans.

- A pair of brown boots that I can wear with pretty much any outfit when I want to dress nicer than wearing converse! 

- A pair of really good fitting dark blue jeans. 

Your top 5 favourite Instagram accounts? 

Ooooh good question! I'd say @itsashbenzo, @annasaccone, @lauraprepon, @caseyleigh_27 and @christinaperri.  I like to see posts from these people on my timeline!

What is one tip you would give to new bloggers?

Take full advantage of social media by posting links to all your new posts as personally I think that's where pretty much all my traffic comes from!

What inspired you to start blogging?

I started reading blogs in my second year of university (3 years ago eek) and I was really interested in Fleur De Force's, Tanya Burr's and Anna Saccone's blogs in particular. I wanted to blog for a really long time before I started my own so I would say they inspired me as I loved keeping up with their posts.

Which celebrity wardrobe would you love to steal?

I really like Laura Prepon's style so I would love to raid her wardrobe! Her black jumpsuit and plaid shirt combo from a Twitter snap last year was just such a cool laid-back look. I would steal her casual clothes as I'm not too hyped about her awards season wardrobe at times! 

Who would be your perfect red carpet date?

This is a great question too! Ed Westwick because I absolutely love him haha. I think he would be a perfect gentleman but maybe that's just the illusion of Chuck Bass.. Regardless, Ed seems like a really cool guy.

The Pretty Little Liars Tag!

This might just be the coolest tag post ever. Thanks to A Yellow Brick Blog who started this! 

1) Alison made her return to rosewood in her statement red coat. What is your wardrobe statement piece?

I was given a new wool winter coat as  a Christmas present last year and I kid you not, I receive at least one compliment on it every time I'm out and about! It's a greyish colour with big dark flowers on it. It's also very oversized with three big buttons. It was actually from Primark but you would have no idea as it looks so nice on. I really liked it when I got it but I found it a little bigger than what I'm used to with coats. After trying it out, I love it so much and it makes every outfit look so much nicer!

2) If you could raid anyone's wardrobe who's would it be?
I was going to say Spencer as my answer to this question but I think if I was to raid her wardrobe I would find clothes similar to my own! I love Spencer's style as I like her jumpers and polo shirts which I wear often myself. I like the casual preppy style of Spencer's wardrobe. I think I'd raid Hanna's wardrobe though as she always looks so fashionable but still casual. Hanna's probably as stylish as I would dream to be haha! 

3) Which cast member would you go to if you had a problem?
This is a tough one! I would probably say Emily as I feel like the others girls aren't so level headed and generally as calm as her. Emily seems like she would be understanding and quite caring. I would say that Emily was actually my least favourite liar but definitely the kindest one.

4)  Which character's personality do you think you most relate to? 
I would say Hanna as I get quite uptight sometimes haha. I also don't have a lot of patience at times and I feel Hanna is the first one to react when there is a problem.

5) Which of the character's makeup would you most like to wear? 
Hanna's for sure! Her makeup always looks so effortless. 

6) Which of the cast would you feel safest with when stuck in an A situation?
Definitely Spencer as she always has  a plan and is one step ahead of everyone else. I think she would think the situation through sensibly and make sure that everyone was kept safe. I do think Spencer gets carried away with her little schemes but she would be the most rational in a sudden A situation.

The Netflix Tag!

I saw this tag when I was browsing on Bloglovin and it is literally perfect for me. Netflix is probably the best (and worst) thing to come into my life ha!

1. What are you favourite series' to watch on Netflix?

Orange Is The New Black for sure! If you've read my blog before, you will know that I'm a massive fan of the show. It truly was one of my best ever television finds because I literally love it so much ha! Netflix also introduced me to Modern Family (before it was removed) which has also been a big favourite of mine over the past year. A third thing I like to watch on Netflix is Pretty Little Liars. I had seen all the episodes when they first added it but they now upload the new episodes literally less than a day after the US. It's so damn good!

2. What are you currently watching on Netflix?

Nothing actually! I have just finished up watching season 2 of House of Cards about a year later than everyone else. I occasionally watch random OITNB episodes though. 

3. If you could have any series, old or new put on Netflix, what would it be? 

I would like to see some older shows like Sabrina The Teenage Witch, Saved By The Bell, That 70's Show that kind of thing. I do have most of these on DVD but Netflix is so much more convenient! 

4. What is your one peeve about Netflix?

That the US content is far better than what we get in the UK. 

5. What are your essentials for a perfect night in with Netflix?

Some good snacks and a nice fluffy blanket!

6. Recommend one series or film for someone else.

Orange Is The New Black as I think you need to watch a Netflix original if you haven't already seen one!

Gossip Girl Tag!

Something a little bit different for today's post - the Gossip Girl Tag! I knew I had to do this at some point after seeing this as I'm a massive Gossip Girl fan. Thank you @ScottishStefsNails for making me aware of this tag! 

1. How did you discover the show?

I started watching around the first half of Season 3 in 2009 after seeing people talk about it online really. I purchased the first season on Amazon for the mere price of £8 which was such an incredible price for something that I would now say is one of my all time favourite TV shows.

2. Who's your favourite character?

My favourite during the early seasons was definitely Serena but I would say from about season 3 if not definitely season 4, my favourite has always been Blair. 

3. Who would you see yourself being friends with on the show?

I really don't think I would ever be friends with the main clique if they were real people as I definitely wouldn't be that popular! I would probably be friends with Jenny as a bit of a wannabe and wanting to fit in with them.

4. Chair or Dair?

Oh my god, Chair without even question haha! I consider Dair to be a particularly low point of Gossip Girl as I could never realistically see Blair being with Dan especially after how much she slated him in the earlier seasons. I feel like their relationship also came out of nowhere whereas Chuck and Blair were a long running story arc throughout the series (regardless of their break ups). I think that Chuck and Blair are truly an iconic TV power couple of my teenage generation therefore I most definitely have to pick them. I loved when they went scheming together! 

5. What's your favourite ship that would never actually happen?

I really have no idea as I've never thought about it! I think one of the only couples that never happened was Serena and Chuck so let's go with that. Blair would be fuming at her BFF though!

6. If you were to be a character who would you be?

I would quite like to be Blair because I admire her character so much. We have nothing in common though but she was always so witty and stylish with everything she wore during the show. She really truly was the Queen Bee in my opinion. Dating Chuck Bass would be pretty neat too ha!

7. Have you read the book series?

I haven't read the book series, no. I do own the first two books in the series and have done for years now but I haven't read passed the first couple of pages. I am aware that they are very different from the show though. I even have the first novel of the spin of series with Jenny Humphrey! I have a pretty bad habit of collecting books on impulse and reading very few of them...

8. Who was your crush on the show?

Chuck Bass is one of my ultimate TV man crushes, I'm not even gonna lie. I hated him in the first season as I found he was SO incredibly sleazy but as he got older and his character developed, I grew quite fond of him. He also got really nice looking swell and that voice! One of my university flatmates used to joke with me that we would one day go to New York and track Chuck Bass down. We would share him to be nice to each other of course. She went to New York herself and purposefully passed the Empire hotel and unfortunately didn't see him ha! She told me this all over a postcard and I still have the picture of the hotel somewhere!

9. What was your first initial thought of the show?

I first watched Gossip Girl so long ago now so I'm actually not sure what I first thought of it! If I'm not drawn into a TV show pretty much straight away, I find it difficult to continue watching it in all honestly. I did really like it from the start as the rich lifestyle of fellow teenagers was very appealing to me at the time! They had the perfect lifestyle which I think was why a lot of people really loved the show. 

10. Who was your favourite villain?

I've always liked the villains since I was really young, no idea why! I actually really liked Ivy or the fake 'Charlie Rhodes'. I thought her whole storyline was really interesting. I'm not sure if she is classed as a villain but she was lying to the whole van der Woodsen family about who she really was! I did also quite like Bart Bass in a weird way and Georgina was a classic menacing character throughout the whole show. It would of made so much sense for her to be Gossip Girl!

BLOGMAS DAY 21 - Winter Wonderland Tag!

For Blogmas Day 21, I'm going to be doing another tag post! I found this one on Nikki's Haven Station Blog. Feel free to copy the questions if you wish to take part too! 

1. Favorite thing about winter?

I love wearing jumpers, big jackets and scarves. I feel like I was more wrapped up for winter last year though for some reason, I don't think it's generally been as cold this year!

2. Scarves or Beanies?

Scarves! My staple scarf this winter is a big tartan one and I've been wearing it pretty much everyday.

3. Favorite holiday movie?

I've always liked Miracle On 34th Street but more of a recent favourite has been Elf. I've also watched Four Christmases for quite a number of years now, that is such a great Christmas movie. Reese Witherspoon is my fave.

4. Favorite nail polish?

Anything sparkly. 

5. Favorite Starbucks drink?

Coconut Mocha Frappe.

6. What are your top 3 winter essentials?

A cosy scarf, nice jumpers and a good pair of boots.

7. Name one item on your wish list this year?

American Horror Story on DVD.

8. Favorite holiday song?

I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday.

9. Did you go Black Friday shopping?

I was working on Black Friday this year! It's not that much of a big deal here but I did have a look online.

10. Must have winter lip product?

A nice lipgloss for parties and such like!

11. Will you be rocking an ugly Christmas sweater this year?

No thank you, I will stick to my nice one.

12. Have you ever had a white Christmas where you live?

I think so but it would of been a long time ago! I don't think there is much chance of it this year as we only had very light snow.

13. Favorite winter candle scent?

I'm not really into candles as I don't like lighting them. I do like that generic Christmassy scented one though, not sure of its name! 

14. How will you be celebrating this holiday?

Same as every year, wouldn't like to break the tradition! Visiting family, having my Granny over for a buffet lunch then off to my grandparents for Christmas dinner at night!
